Local Attractions
Hidden Valley is located in the heart of rural
mid Wales. An area of unspoilt countryside with beautiful mountains,
forests and lakes. The local market
towns are full of wonderfull places to eat and enjoy a drink as well
as offering a wide range of attractions such as The Welshpool
& Llanfair Light Railway which links the two towns
traversing through spectacular scenery. Whilst in Welshpool a
visit to Powis Castle & Gardens, with one of the most
fabulous gardens in Britain, is a must. The
Dingle Garden Centre and Derwen Garden Centre are both
well known local attractions and will inspire anyone to get into the
garden, whilst Coed-y-Dinas garden and country centre is a
complete day out for all the family. Mid
Wales is also a walkers paradise with endless local footpaths such
as Owain Glyndwr's Way and Offa's Dyke Path. If
you fancy something a bit more active there is also plenty to do
with numerous golf courses and adventure centres or you could even
try your hand at quad trekking at Border Quad Trekking. For
those who find this all a bit too energetic why not try a gentle
cruise on the Montgomery Canal. Spectacular
Lake Vyrnwy is only a short drive away and ideal for a nice
summer evenings walk around the lake through the innovative Sculpture
Park. The area is a renowned for its wildlife and is one
of the country best places to see the magnificent red kite either at
Mid Wales Falconry Centre, Gigrin Farm Feeding Station
or even just whilst out for a walk! This
